beautiful functional watchthis watch may be big...but it's so in season! my wrist is pretty small (but not thin) but it still looks good on my arm! the gold tone is beautiful...and the watch hands are glow in the dark! (which is not very useful bc the numbers aren't).
also this watch (according to the manual guide)does not run on battery power...it runs on the movement of your arm (therefore it is important to get this resized to your wrist size). So this watch will last for a LONG time.
it's a bit heavy but i like the weight.
overall this is a beautiful functional watch. i love LOVE it :)

Great WatchI upgraded to the eco-drive from a watch that recharged by wrist motion. So far I'm a lot happier with the eco-drive. It holds a charge a lot longer so it's not a problem to leave it unworn for a day or two. I didn't like the green military style band on this one but it was easy to swap for a leather 20mm band. The stock band was a tad small for my wrist. I would expect a lot of men would need to swap it. The numbers look big in the picture and they're big on the watch. I like the big numbers others might not.
May 2008 Update:
I still like this watch as much as the day it arrived! It works perfectly never runs out of battery and looks good. For those of you who haven't paid for a decent watch you might not realize you're missing out on a good quality glass / crystal face. Mine still is scratch free. The watch looks pretty much brand new even though I wear it every day.

Tons of Compliments!
I admit I am a watchhead. I bought this watch not expecting much intending it to be my daily "beater" watch for work but have been very surprised and have received almost daily compliments. As the specifications indicate it is a bit large for a medium/slim lady's wrist (in a good way) is tall (not a low profile watch - so beware of tight shirt cuffs) and has tiny tiny diamonds (just enough to reflect...not look like blingy sparkle). While this is not comparable to my Tag Jaeger or Omega but it is a solidly made watch for the money. Good value!

Exactly!!I am an avid collector of high end watches (Breitling Rolex and Tag) as well as excellent moderate watches including Oakley Minute Machine. This watch has every bit of the cosmetic finish and flare of high end watches with the movement of moderate watches. This particualr watch looks very much like the picture but also has a even better appearance in person.
Size matters...my wrist is about an 8"or9" (use a tape measure) and if you are in that range I see no problem with the watch. Otherwise it may look odd but thats what some may want anyway. Very comfortable band and case. It is aggressive looking but understated since it is a dark watch. Packaging and shipping was perfect from Amazon.
I would highly recommend this watch as your everyday or fun watch. Primarily it lives up to what I have saw prior to purchase and is made well considering the price point and looks much more expensive than the price point.

WOW!MODERN FEMININE UNIQUE AND SOPHISTICATED. This watch is even more beautiful in person! I've had it for about 1 month now and have gotten so many compliments. I can't stop looking at it it's just that pretty. This particular model really stands out especially when you compare it to the other Bulova watches for women or women's watches in general. Not to mention it looks like it costs a fortune! This model is much bigger and heavier than your average women's watch so it is not a watch to buy if you want something discrete. The diamonds are very very tiny and you can barely see them so if you are looking for something with bigger more visible diamonds you will need to spend a lot more. My favorite thing about this watch besides the fact that the face is so gorgeous and unique is that I can dress it up or down. It can look sporty or super dressy. It goes with everything!
PS. I was considering Bulova's Diamond Chronograph Watch #96R19 (very popular model). In person this one is waaaay better looking and much more sophisticated! Not to mention I wanted something not everybody has. It looks like it costs 10x more than the #96R19. I am so glad I saw them in person before making a decision.

I have the blue dialLarge heavy man's man watch. Gets plenty of looks and the bracelet is just beautiful. Keeps excellent time as most quartz movements do. I use it as an everyday casual watch and have banged it numerous times the sapphire crystal remains scratchless. Thought about buying another or collecting all three colors.
This watch could be improved if the night illuminators didn't take so long to charge. Also it lacks a perpetual calendar but the date is easy to change and only has to be done once every two months.
Try this before spending $2000 - $5000 on breitling tag omega

Huge disappointmentVery disappointed with the quality of this watch. I liked the look but after wearing it only for one week I noticed that my watch stopped and the reason was the dis-attached weekday hand that was obstructing the minute hand from moving. I would not recommend this watch to anyone due to its low quality and craftsmanship.

Awesome watch!Even though I'm not a pilot I've always liked the Skyhawk/Navihawk titanium line of Citizen watches. My brother is a commercial pilot and has an older one. He loves it. They are just too cool. But I never liked the fact that they didn't have a backlight for the LCD displays. Well now they do! It has an amber backlight that works great. This watch is the new titanium version of the much heavier stainless steel JY0000-53E that came out last year.
Of course the weight of this watch is ridiculously light due to the Titanium construction. For such a big watch I can hardly tell it's on. I can't stand a heavy watch bouncing on my arm. And be aware this is definitely a big watch. But that seems to be the trend now (which I like).
The atomic time function works like a charm. I also like having world time at my fingertips. I have family members that live overseas so it's nice to be able to check their local time at a glance.
It's great knowing I will never have to change batteries with this watch. The solar-powered "Eco-Drive" is an incredible feature that every watch company should have.
The watch has 2 alarms world time zones (43 cities) solar power atomic time a countdown timer a chronograph a slide rule UTC time a 24 hour clock ultra-light and nearly indestructable titanium construction 200 meter waterproof mineral glass and it looks outstanding. What more could you want? I think it even does the dishes bathrooms and windows. But I haven't looked up those features yet in the 115 page manual (English portion).
One thing that's missing is a one-touch feature to bring all hands to the 12 o'clock position to clear the LCD displays during certain times of day. The hands occasionally obscure your attempts to read the LCD's. Another little gripe is you have to pull out and turn the crown to check the date. And it'll show you the date of your second time zone only. You have to do a couple more steps to get your home zone date if your second time zone is across the dateline from you. I think there's a way to set the LCD 2 to show the date all the time but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. (Correction 4/1/08: I don't think there is any way you can get LCD 2 to show the date.)
Forget Rolex Breitling and Omega. They might look cool and have their high-falutin image but they have nowhere near the functionality and practicality of this new Citizen. And they all cost about 10 times more. They are also much heavier.
Bottom line: It's virtually indestructable ultralight maintenance and adjustment free. I never have to set the time again nor will I ever have to change a battery or put it in a watch-winder (for automatics). I'm a big fan and proud owner of one of the coolest watches on the planet.
